The Commercial Production Association of Western Canada has developed and implemented a series of protocols in order to reduce risk and operate safely under the threat of COVID-19 in BC. These protocols were developed to exceed the current Worksafe BC guidance on operating in BC as a non-essential business, and have been developed and reviewed by an occupational health and safety consulting firm to ensure compliance with Worksafe BC and all around safety to our workers and the public.

Can we film in BC?

Yes. As a non-essential business, a commercial producer can operate as long as it develops an Exposure Control Plan and meets or exceeds the Worksafe BC guidelines for worker safety. Certain scripts can not be filmed at this time without the use of post production: Crowd scenes or close interaction between strangers, for example
